Dirck Ten Broeck at New York, N.Y. writes to his father, Abraham at Albany, N.Y. mentioning family news such as the fact his children have been very sick with the measles. He also refers to a sloop journey from Albany to New York City. There are three letters regarding Dirck's need for cash, "Be so kind as to endorse for me the enclosed note - I have some accounts to settle and pay this day for which I stand in need of cash..."
